This seminar serves as a comprehensive guide to successfully managing every aspect of tenancy. From selecting the right tenant to concluding a lease, proper completion of paperwork is crucial. The Oregon Rental Housing Association has recently updated its forms and published the latest 7th Edition of the Forms Manual, which will be used as a core resource for this course.

The course covers available forms, the correct processes for completing them, and provides explanations of terms, timelines, and the consequences of using these forms effectively. It will be presented in two parts: Part A on June 24, 2025, focusing on screening and move-in forms, and Part B on July 22, 2025, addressing day-to-day operations, violation, and termination forms. Each session can be taken independently, as they cover different aspects of property management paperwork.

SPEAKER:

Violet Wilson

Violet Wilson is the "V" in V & R Management. Violet is Oregon licensed and works as a property manager.  Violet holds a Bachelor of Arts in Science from San Jose State University and a Masters of Science in Education from Western Oregon University. She was a high school teacher for over 36 years in California and Oregon schools.  V & R Management, LLC has operated since 1990, specializing in single family home rentals but they have managed all types of properties.  

Recently elected at the Oregon Rental Housing President, Violet is a past vice president of Oregon Rental Housing Association, former chair of the ORHA Education Committee, and serves on the ORHA Legislative Action Committee.  Since 2008, she has taught property management classes for local and the state housing provider associations.  In addition, she has volunteered to teach classes to help tenants become better residents.
