about us

Salem Rental Housing Association is an organization of landlords who care about practical, legal and profitable land lording practices. Through Rental Owners Association they share problems, solutions, and ideas with other landlords and find information that comes from similar organizations in Oregon and around the country.

SRHA is a member of Oregon Rental Housing Association, a statewide affiliation of sixteen such organizations. Through ORHA, SRHA members have an effective voice in the Oregon Legislature, can influence legislation, retain a rental housing lobbyist, have access to certified educational programs, and stay informed on political issues affecting the industry.

SRHA comprises about 900 landlords in Salem, Keizer and beyond. Most members own fewer than six units, yet each is committed to being a professional. Each knows that doing things right may take a little more work and cost slightly more, but also that one “bad” tenant can cost hundreds of dollars and a “tenant from hell” can cost thousands.
